“Yes I made excuses all those years. But it is time to stop making excuses. Be authentic.  It’s ok to put your desires first, because the world needs your book.”

Chris Mandeville:
Nonfiction & Fantasy Author, Mom, Volunteer!

Hello Fellow Writers & Readers!

Chris writes science fiction & fantasy novels and short stories, as well as nonfiction books for writers. She’s a member of The Sparkling Hammers, a critique group of eclectic writers that provides inspiration, support, and friendship essential to her writing process.

Chris has taught writing workshops for writers’ groups along the Front Range of Colorado on a variety of topics including writer’s block, world-building, character-building, backstory, pitching, improv writing, plotting, and building better beginnings. She’s also the co-director for the prestigious Superstars Writing Seminars for 2019.

In our chat, she discusses procrastination and imposter’s syndrome and how she overcame it. I completely appreciate her candidness and vulnerability. Since a lot of writers I know suffer from this, I hope they understand it’s perfectly natural and they are not the only ones!

I hope you enjoy the show!
